Welcome to my Fine Art Photography site where I hope to share with you how I see and experience the built and natural world around us. I first began my photography path in College for Architecture with a film Nikon camera, an assignment in Europe to study all things design related and access to a dark room to uncover what I had captured.  While working the past couple of decades as a professional Architect, that initial spark of curiosity and my camera, albeit Digital now, have never left my side!

My home base is in the beautiful Pacific Northwest and my passion is to observe the light and its entrancing interplay with the world around us. The camera has become my unique way of seeing and interpreting the elemental world, offering a perspective of artistry often unseen by the naked eye. The lens captures the beauty that exists beyond a singular moment and expands it into a fresh experience in print and on large scale wall murals.

My current series, Light Refractions focuses on the world of macro photography, capturing straight through the lens unique images of the world around us.  I use objects such as the base of a wine bottle or a quartz crystal to wondrously harness the effects of refracted, direct natural light. This challenges the camera's abilities to capture images in a magical way, allowing us to see the beauty beyond the expected.  The dynamic yet meditative qualities of my abstract work invites the viewer to be present and to draw from it a sense of wonder and peace.

My work has been featured at local PNW Galleries and installed as large-scale wall murals in Commercial projects in the region. I love sharing my passion and critical eye to the design industry and the art community at large.
